Kia Motors has finally released ‘official’ photographs of its all-new family car – code named ED.
Designed for European consumers, the new model will compete in the C-segment (Ford, Focus, GM Astra, VW Golf, etc.) and goes on sale in December.
Kia said the 4.2-metre long ED has an unusually long wheelbase (2,650 mm) and claims it will have class-leading interior space, plus highly competitive levels of equipment and active and passive safety.
From launch, a range of four engines will be available, including 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol engines and a new 1.6-litre diesel.
The ED will be produced by Kia´s first European factory at Zilina in Slovakia where pilot production started recently.
