A new Mazda concept car called the Nagare will make its global debut at the Greater Los Angeles International Auto Show on 29 November.
This latest design concepts follows the Sassou, Senku, and Kabura from last year’s show season, and, the automaker said, is the first indication of its future design direction.
Laurens van den Acker, newly-appointed general manager of Mazda’s said the Nagare sums up the future of Mazda design in one word: flow.
“Nagare is a celebration of proportions and surface language that will evolve into subsequent designs planned for presentation at future international motor shows,” he said.
Other Mazda vehicles on display in Los Angeles will include the five-seat CX-7 crossover SUV launched in the US earlier this year (and just now going on sale in right-hand drive form in Australia; the first RHD market to get it), the upcoming three-row, seven-passenger CX-9 SUV, due in North American dealerships in early 2007, and the MX-5 roadster coupe with power retractable hardtop first shown in London last July.
