Kumho Tyre announced it is supplying original equipment (OE) tyres for the redesigned 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan that replaces the Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country (Grand Voyager for export).

The Solus TA31, the OE tyre for the Pacifica, is an all-season premium touring tyre that, Kumho claims, "offers great in-car comfort and driving performance. The Solus TA31's unique tread block and pattern substantially reduces road noise and the reinforced block offers exceptional handling and braking on dry roads, which translates into excellent ride comfort."

OE fitments are 20'' (245/50 R 20) and 17'' (235/65 R 17) options. The new Chrysler Pacifica is now on sale in the US and Canada.

Kumho has been an official OE tyre supplier to FCA US for a variety of models beginning with the Chrysler Sebring in 2006.

"The deal is yet recognition of our technological prowess and brand power, and we expect it will help enhance our brand recognition in global markets," said Hyun-Ho Kim, senior vice president at Kumho Tyre. "We will keep enhancing our expertise and brand power for continued partnership with world-renowned car manufacturers and greater global market share."

Kumho has also supplied tyres to Daimler-Benz, BMW and Volkswagen.
