South Korean supplier POSCO has revealed plans to build a US$250m plant in Mexico for the production of steel plates as vehicle components.

According to reports, the steel maker’s new plant will have an annual output capacity of 400,000 tonnes, and secures a stable base for shipments to North American and Mexican markets from 2009.
The company has not yet decided on a location for the new facility.
