Kia America has announced a new ‘Kia@Home’ “product and brand experience” which provides potential buyers scheduled test drives of two of its “most technologically advanced” models at their choice of locations in several major cities.

The system is being used first for demonstrations of the redesigned Carnival MPV and Niro BEV.

“Kia@Home tailors the retail experience to shoppers’ needs,” the automaker said in a statement.

“Personalised, convenient and on-demand, Kia@Home brings an interactive and unique experience to shoppers when and where they want,” said Russell Wager, head of marketing at Kia America. “Now consumers can get behind the wheel for up-close-and-personal test drives in their own individual, real world settings.”

Appointments are booked online and prospective buyers choose the specific model of interest and schedule delivery. The hour-long “experience” includes a detailed vehicle walk-around with a product specialist and the sales process and delivery are carried out by a local dealer.

Kia@Home is offered in: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Seattle and Washington, DC with the Carnival alone available also in Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Indianapolis, Orlando, Phoenix and Tampa.
