Kia Motors began sales of the second-generation K7 full-size passenger car this week, following its official launch in South Korea earlier this month.

The company said it had received 7.500 pre-sale orders domestically for the car and will launch the model in key overseas markets, including the Middle-East and the US, later this year.

The front-wheel-drive K7 features an eight-speed transmission system and a choice of 2.2L diesel engine and updated 2.4L and 3.3L Lambda II petrol engines. A hybrid version is also scheduled to be launched in the second half of the year.
