AvtoVAZ and Bipek Avto have begun to work together on the markets of the Central Asian region. The two companies have signed a corresponding agreement in Astana. It was signed by the president of AvtoVAZ, Bo Andersson and the chairman of the board of directors of Bipek Avto, Anatoly Balushkin, in the presence of Russian President, Vladimir Putin and the president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Under the agreement, Bipek Avto becomes the official Lada distributor on the markets of Central Asia: Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tadzhikistan.
Andersson praised the work of Bipek Avto in the markets of Russia and Kazakhstan and expressed hope for the successful promotion of Lada brand in Central Asia. The positive experience of our partnership in Russia and Kazakhstan allows us to count on a successful return to the Central Asian markets, where the positions of AvtoVAZ in the past were traditionally strong, " said Andersson.
Balushkin said, "Today AvtoVAZ trusts us to restart the brand in the vast market of Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries of the region. This is a large-scale task and it is inextricably linked to our joint production plans of exports deliveries of cars that will be produced at our new plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk."
In September 2014, the partners signed an agreement on joint activities in the markets of the Siberian and Urals federal districts of Russia. As part of the agreement the parties established a joint venture 'Asia Avto Ust-Kamenogorsk', which will be entitled to distribute, sale and service Lada vehicles. Infrastructure of the joint venture in the Russian Federation now includes 15 auto centres in 10 cities.
