JAPAN: Toyota to increase transmission exports from the Philippines
Toyota Motor said on Tuesday that its parts manufacturing subsidiary in the Philippines, Toyota Autoparts Philippines (TAP), will increase the export of manual transmissions from this month.
Toyota Motor said on Tuesday that its parts manufacturing subsidiary in the Philippines, Toyota Autoparts Philippines (TAP), will increase the export of manual transmissions from this month.
TAP, Toyota’s global manufacturing base for manual transmissions, shipped around 210,000 units to ASEAN countries including Thailand and Indonesia in 2003.
In 2004, the subsidiary plans to ship 240,000 units including those for use in the Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) and for exports to Japan.
