Toyota Motor will recall about 111,000 Crown, Crown Majesta and Mark X passenger cars produced between September 2003 and February this year [and sold in Japan] due to a defect in their braking system that caused an accident earlier this year and possible petrol leakage, Kyodo News reported.

In a report filed with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Toyota reportedly said a rubber part used to seal brake fluid is loose and that the fluid may leak.

The defect led to an accident in Yamanashi Prefecture in January this year, Toyota told Kyodo News.

The automaker was also reported to have found a problem with a rubber part used for fuel injection nozzles, which could cause petrol leakages.
