Toyota projects group global output will rise 11% to 7.54 million units for 2004, according to CBS Marketwatch.


Toyota’s group production, including those of its subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor, a minivehicle specialist, and truck maker Hino Motors, is forecast to rise 5% to 8.12 million vehicles in 2005, the company reportedly said in a statement – global production of Toyota-brand cars alone is forecast to rise 8% to 7.28 million next year.


Global output levels at its Daihatsu and Hino units are projected to rise 2% and 5%, respectively, to 750,000 and 100,000 vehicles in 2005, the report said.
