Toyota Motor Corporation boosted global output 8.1% in April from a year earlier to 485,070 vehicles, Reuters reported.


Nissan Motor produced 224,398 vehicles worldwide, flat from the year-earlier month, while Honda Motor global production fell 2.4% to 237,887 vehicles in April, the report added.


Tables published by Reuters showed that Toyota and Nissan recorded rises in Japanese output in Aptil by 6.2 and 3.4% respectively while Honda (-26.2%), Mitsubishi (-5.3%) and Mazda (-1.1%) recorded falls.


According to Reuters, Nissan boosted exports from Japan by 12.6%, followed by Toyota (2.3%) but shipments from Honda (-3.5%), Mitsubishi (-3.1%) and Mazda (-0.8%) all fell.


Reuters figures record overseas output rises in April for Mazda (44.1%), Honda (18.2%), Toyota (10.7%) and Mitsubishi (1.1%) and a 3% fall for Nissan.
