Toyota Motor Kyushu will set up a JPY16 bn plant to make hybrid car parts in an industrial park straddling Kitakyushu and the adjacent town of Kanda in Fukuoka Prefecture.
According to Kyodo News, the firm, part of the Toyota group, said the new plant, its third production facility, is due to come on stream next summer on a 340,000sq m site, employing about 150.
