Toyota Motor managing officer Mitsuru Takada is serve as corporate senior vice president at Subaru maker Fuji Heavy Industries from 1 April “to improve the bilateral partnership”, according to Toyota.
Takada took charge of negotiations when Toyota, Fuji Heavy’s leading shareholder, bought the stock in 2005.
To date, Toyota has not sent any of its executives to Fuji Heavy, Kyodo News reported.
The two automakers are developing hybrid vehicles through their collaboration.
They also share a Fuji plant in the US state of Indiana.
