JAPAN: Toyota Boshuku to make bumpers in France

Automotive parts maker Toyota Boshoku Co. will found a wholly owned subsidiary in Pas-de-Calais, northern France, in January to produce spare bumpers for Toyota Motor cars assembled in Europe.

Automotive parts maker Toyota Boshoku Co. will found a wholly owned subsidiary in Pas-de-Calais, northern France, in January to produce spare bumpers for Toyota Motor cars assembled in Europe.

The French unit will launch bumper production in 2006 for Toyota’s Corolla, Yaris and Avensis cars, Kyodi News reported.

Annual production capacity will reach some 250,000 units by 2012.
