Toshiba may supply the battery system – using its own super charge ion battery – for use in Mitsubishi’s electric vehicles. The SCiB can recharge up to 90% of full capacity in less than five minutes.
Toshiba is set to begin production of its SCiB from 2011 at a new facility in Kashiwazaki, Niigata Prefecture.
