Fuji Heavy Industries Limited, owner of Subaru, is considering producing vehicles in China, according to Japanese newspaper Mainichi Shimbun.

The newspaper reported that Subaru-brand vehicles could be jointly produced at China-based automakers’ plants.
The report said that Fuji is considering this step in response to strong sales of cars such as its Forester in China.
