Toyota Motor said it had sold about 15,000 new Corolla sedans and station wagons in the first month since the 11 May launch, more than double its initial monthly sales target of 7,000 vehicles.
The new Axio sedan and the Fielder station wagon are smaller with a tighter turning radius, Kyodo News reported.

Leaked images of the upcoming Corolla hatchback and its Auris equivalent for Europe have been circulating on the internet recently and an Australian report said export markets would not get a replacement for the current Corolla sedan until 2013 and that it would be different from the Japanese market Axio.
