Fuji Heavy Industries on Wednesday said cumulative sales of its new vehicles in Japan have topped 10 million units, 47 years after it entered the automobile market with the Subaru 360 in 1958.
According to Kyodo News, of the total, sales of Subaru 360s and other minivehicles came to 6.95 million units, accounting for 70% of the total.
Sales of larger motor vehicles totalled 3.05 million, with those of Fuji Heavy’s mainline Legacy series of station wagons and sedans reaching 1.08 million units, the report said.
