Nissan plans to produce its Teana luxury sedan in China in the future, president and chief executive officer Carlos Ghosn said on Monday, according to Jiji Press.
Ghosn declined to say when production of the Teana in China will start, noting that the decision is up to Nissan’s new joint venture with Dong Feng Motor Corp. of China. The joint company is expected to be set up in the coming spring.
Ghosn revealed the plan after a press conference to announce the release in Japan of the remodelled Teana.
The Teana will also be sold in China and other Asian markets, Nissan said, according to the report.
