Nissan global production in January rose 6.5% year on year to 429,580 units, an all-time record for the month.
Production in Japan increased 13.7% to 80,360 units, mainly due to increased demand for the Serena, redesigned X-Trail, new Skyline and Infiniti Q50.
Production outside Japan increased 5% to 349,220 units, a record for the month.
US production increased 38.1% to 77,996 units, also a record for the month.
Mexican production increased 4.4% to 68,144 units, mainly due to increased demand for the Versa Note. January production was an all-time record for a single month.
UK production increased 4.3% to 44,511 units, mainly due to higher demand for the Note and Leaf.

Sales
Global sales last month increased 0.4% to 407,722 units, also an all-time record for the month.
Nissan sold 67,469 units in Japan, up 19.6%. Registrations increased 1.8% year-on-year to 45,022 units. The renewed X-Trail, released in December 2013, posted strong sales.
Minivehicle sales in Japan increased 84% to 22,447 units, mainly due to strong sales of the DAYZ. Minivehicle sales were an all-time record for the month of January.
Sales outside of Japan decreased 2.7% to 340,253 units.
Sales in the US increased 11.8% to 90,470 units mainly due to higher demand for the Rogue and Frontier.
Sales in Mexico increased 2.3% to 21,718 units.
Europe sales 4.1% to 49,412 units, mainly due to increased sales in Russia.
Although there was increased demand for the Teana, sales in China decreased 0.4% to 95,208 units due to the fewer number of selling days.
Sales in other regions decreased 3.3% to 76,959 units.
Japan exports
Nissan’s exports in January fell 12.6% to 32,737 units, reflecting increased output overseas.
