Nissan is to recall almost 800,000 cars worldwide to fix faulty engine air ducts.

The automaker said the faults were discovered through regular servicing and that no accidents or incidents have been linked to them. Models affected are Teana sedans (aka Maxima and Cefiro), Presage minivans and Murano SUVs.

Around 780,000 of these vehicles – the Teano and Murano – are outside Japan and models affected were made between 2003 and February 2008.

Owners will be contacted to have repairs made free of charge at local dealers.
