Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp. will recall about 9,800 trucks and buses in total in connection with seven types of defects, including one associated with its steering system, Kyodo News reported.
In a report filed with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the manufacturer reportedly said the vehicles were made between 1982 and 2002.
The news agency noted that, in February, the company pledged to file recall reports concerning a total of 37 defects, including those found as a result of an in-house probe into its old records. With Wednesday’s filing to the ministry, the company has lived up to its promise on 28 of 37 problems, Kyodo News said.
