Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has signed a final cooperative agreement for development and supply of rebadged i-MiEV electric vehicle to PSA Peugeot Citroën (PSA) which will sell them through its Peugeot and Citroen dealer networks in Europe.

MMC and PSA signed a framework agreement last September 2009 and have since reached “final consensus” on the deal.

Production will start next October ahead of models launches by the end of 2010.

MMC expects to supply 100,000 units through the agreement.

MMC and PSA already have a model-sharing deal in place under which the Mitsubishi Outlander crossover is rebranded as the Citroen C-crosser and Peugeot 4007. The range uses engines supplied by MMC and PSA.
