Mazda said its compact crossover SUV for launch at this year’s Frankfurt show in September will be called the CX-5.
Larger CX-7 and CX-9 models are already on sale.
The CX-5 is the production version of the Minagi concept shown at Geneva last month and will have new ‘Skyactiv’ engines, transmissions, body and chassis.
Sales start in 2012.
