Honda will recall 561,594 vehicles worldwide because of a potential problem with the ignition system, according to finanzen.net.
The recall affects Odyssey, CR-V and Step Wagon models produced between October 1994 and May 1997.
483,185 of the affected vehicles are in Japan.
The cost of the recall is expected to total around US$24m.
The fault can cause the engine to cut out. Five people in Japan have complained of burns after the solder used in the defective ignition parts melted and fell on their feet, according to Associated Press.
