Fuji Heavy Industries, maker of Subaru brand cars, has said that it is keeping its full-year revenue and profit forecasts unchanged. Announcing its nine-month April-December results, the company maintained that it was on target for full year revenue of 1.43 trillion yen. No profit target was issued.


Fuji said that April-December revenues totalled 1.028 trillion yen.


“The new Legacy car and mini vehicle R2, launched last December, should contribute to sales (in the current quarter), so we are keeping our full-year consolidated sales forecast unchanged,” it said in a statement.


Late last year the company, owned one-fifth by General Motors Corp axed its group operating profit forecast for the year to March 31 to 53 billion yen, 15% down on its previous forecast and over a fifth down on the previous year. The company cited as cause price pressures in the US marketplace.
