“We aim to improve our customer services and product competitiveness by promoting local development and designs that meet market needs,” said Denso R&D chief Hikaru Sugi. “Transferring product development operations to the Indian market from Japan will allow sales and technological functions to collaborate more closely and enable them to quickly respond to both the market and customer needs.”

Denso started operations in India in 1984. It has four other subsidiaries which produce air conditioners, fuel injectors, starters, alternators, and other parts.
