Denso
plans to lift ITS (intelligent transportation system) sales to 120 billion yen
(US$960 million) in fiscal 2005/06, three times the figure recorded in 2000/01,
AutoAsia Online said.

Denso will next year introduce to the U.S. in-car terminals that provide access
to the internet and other information services, and expects sales to grow to
five million units in 2005/06 for a projected 25% share of the market, the report
added.

AutoAsia Online said the company also plans to further develop in-car navigation
technologies and rapidly expand electronic toll collection systems business.

Navigation systems accounted for 90% of Denso’s total ITS product turnover
last year but, by 2005/06, it expects this ratio to fall to 60% as other technologies
expand, the report said.
