Nissan’s new minicar, slated to go on sale in early 2014, will be called the Dayz Roox.
The tall wagon, which has a higher ceiling and roomier interior than other cars of its type, is the second minivehicle to come through Nissan’s joint venture with Mitsubishi. Nissan has released the name early in a bid to appeal to customers in the highly competitive minivehicle market.
The Dayz Roox will be the successor to the Roox, which as of February had recorded sales of around 166,000 units since its December 2009 rollout. The Roox is procured from Suzuki on an OEM basis but the new model will be built at a Mitsubishi plant in Okayama Prefecture.
