The truck drivers are striking to protest rising fuel costs – a protest theme that is becoming common across Europe this summer.


A source told Reuters that Fiat’s plant at Termini Imerese was shut down on Thursday. The plant at Cassino stopped production on Tuesday afternoon and the Melfi site halted on Wednesday, the report said.
