Tata Motors has acquired an 80% stake in Italian automotive design and engineering company Trilix for EUR1.8m (US$2.5m).
Trilix’s remaining 20% stake is held by its promoters, Bryn Jones, Federico Muzio and Justyn Norek.

A statement from Tata said: “The acquisition is in line with the company’s objective to enhance its styling and design capabilities to global standards.”
Trilix had a turnover of EUR4m with an EBITDA of EUR540,000 in 2009.
