Chrysler head Sergio Marchionne said on Wednesday the company would “make an operating profit” in the second quarter of 2010.
Marchionne, also Fiat CEO, did not offer any other details on Chrysler results during a conference call with analysts on Fiat’s second quarter results, Agence France Presse (AFP) reported.
He said a conference call on Chrysler’s results would be held on 9 August.
In the first three months of 2010, Chrysler made an operating profit of US$143m (EUR111.5m) and a net loss of $197m.
Chrysler sales in the second quarter grew 22% quarter on quarter to 407,000 vehicles with US sales growing 24% to 292,000 vehicles, according to a Fiat presentation.
