Fiat Automobiles plans temporary closures of the Alfa Mito and Fiat Multipla assembly lines at its Mirafiori, Turin plant, a company source has said.
The Multipla line would stop for two weeks from 27 May to 7 June and the Mito line for one week from Monday 1 June, the source told Reuters.
Fiat last week cancelled earlier temporary layoffs at Mirafiori, shelving plans to send home about 5,000 workers from 27 April to 3 May on reduced pay.
