Fiat is aiming for to exceed a 25% market share in Italy in the next few years.
Speaking at the Bologna car show this week, head of the Fiat brand, Lorenzo Sistino, told Automobilwoche that this target is set regardless of any incentives that the government might offer.
Fiat’s achieved a 24.14% market share in Italy in the first eleven months of the year, up from 23.39% a year earlier.
In Europe Fiat is targeting a seven percent share for 2008. In the first ten months of this year Fiat’s European market share was 6.2%, up from 5.6% a year earlier.
