Denso Corporation will shift operations from its Polish facility to San Salvo, Italy. Operations in Poland will close by the end of March 2005.

Magneti Marelli Poland (MMP), owner of the buildings leased by Denso’s Polish arm and a group company of Magneti Marelli, has decided to discontinue its lease with Denso so that Magneti Marelli can expand their own Poland operations.

“We understand that MMP needed to take this action, because they are expanding their business activities,” said Kazuo Matsumoto, executive vice president of Denso’s electric systems.. “We will streamline our own operations by consolidating… production activities into our manufacturing facility in Italy.”

The Polish operation, established in 1998, is 100% owned by the Italian operation and produces automotive motors including starters and wiper motors.
