Inteva Products is expanding its global manufacturing capabilities with a new 300,000-square-foot facility in Guanajuato, Silao, Mexico.
The new site will produce interior systems for global automakers with vehicle production near central Mexico.
Initial activity at the plant will involve manufacturing instrument panels and door panels for General Motors’ North American truck programme.
Inteva has begun hiring and will start component production in 2017.
Since it was founded in 2008, Inteva has tripled its global footprint with 46 facilities around the world.
The company recently opened a new manufacturing facility in Rychnov, Czech Republic, in April and followed that with the start of a new manufacturing facility in Oradea, Romania, in May.
In Mexico, Inteva Guanajuato Operations joins two manufacturing facilities in Matamoros, a facility in Puebla and a Technical Centre in Juarez.
