Ford CEO Alan Mulally on Wednesday said the US market was looking good and vehicle sales were expected to increase.

“In the long term it’s going to grow with the economy,” he told Reuters in Delhi after the company showed off its new Indian-built Figo small car, to be launched early in 2010.

Mullaly said he estimated vehicle sales for the US industry to be between 10.5m to 11m in 2009, about 12.5m in 2010 and 14.5m in 2011, the report added.
