Toyota Kirloskar Motor sales rose 17% in February to 11,802 units compared to 10,100 in February 2014.

The company also exported 1,478 units of its Etios series last month.

Commenting on the budget he said “It is a positive budget that caters to individuals as well as corporates. We are happy with the reduction of custom duty on raw materials/components. However, we were hoping to receive a reduction in the excise duty as well which would have further facilitated the industry to get back on the trajectory path. As a part of the budget the government will allocate funds for the development of greener electric cars, we will study this in detail to understand its implication on developing alternative fuel vehicles and promoting hybrid as a technology in India.”
