Tata Motors Group global sales, across the Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range of commercial vehicles, Tata passenger vehicles along with distributed brands in India and Jaguar and Land Rover, grew 53% year on year to 77,732 units in April 2010.
Commercial vehicle sales rose 40% to 34,470 while passenger vehicle sales were up 66% to 43,262. Tata passenger vehicle sales, including those distributed, were up 71% to 25,353, the automaker said in a statement.
Jaguar Land Rover global sales were up 61% to 17,909 vehicles. Jaguar sales were flat at 3,559 but volume of other models has taken up slack left by the axing of the entry level X-Type. XF sales were up 23% and Land Rover sales rose 89% to 14,350.
