India’s Steel Strips Wheels said on Tuesday Renault had awarded it a contract to supply steel wheels for a new vehicle to be launched early in 2011.
The firm expects to supply 300,000 wheels over five years in a deal worth about EUR4.7m. It is likely to begin shipments from the last quarter of 2010, it told Reuters.
