Skoda plans to eventually increase its product offerings in India from 2017.

Sudhir Rao, chairman and managing director of Skoda Auto India said, “From 2017 onwards, we plan to gradually ramp up our product portfolio in the country. We want to do it methodically.”

According to Rao, the automaker will concentrate on launching new generation and refreshed versions of existing models. Further it will start planning the expansion from 2016 onwards, ETAuto.com reported citing PTI.

The just released Superb sedan will be introduced by the second half of 2016 in India.

Customer satisfaction remains the company’s priority for next three to five years. The company will focus on improving significantly in this area, in 2015.

Rao said, “Investments are always ongoing. We are in India to stay and are always going to make a level of investment that is necessary to remain competitive in the country. We have never stopped investments in India. The question is of balancing how much to invest and when. The results of investments will be much clearer from a customer’s perspective from 2017 onwards.
