Renault aims to sell 100,000 vehicles in India in 2015, Ram Mohan Rai, the company’s regional manager of east India, said.

Of the sales target, around 45,000 units are expected to come from the company’s soon to be launched hatchback and recently launched MPV, SME Times reported.

“Our unit sales in 2014 (in India) reached 44,849. We aim to double this volume with the launch of the new MPV and another hatchback launch in the middle of 2015,” Rai said.

“We presently have 157 dealerships and plan to take it to 205 this year. Upcountry locations are also a focus area in 2015,” he added.
