HM-Mitsubishi Motors plans to quadruple plant capacity in the next three to four years.
Y V S Vijay Kumar, vice-president and south business head, Chennai Car plant, said at the weekend that production of luxury cars will go to 24,000 per annum from the present capacity of 6,000 in a couple of years, financialexpress.com reported.
Kumar, who was opening a Secunderabad dealership for Mitsubishi Motors and Hindustan Motors, said “Inauguration of Raima Motors dealership is one of many steps the company is taking towards scaling up operations. Some of these include opening seven dealerships across India, in a short span of two months”.
HM Mitsubishi is joint venture between India’s Hindustan Motors and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. The new dealership will stock the full Mitsubishi line which includes the Lancer, Cedia, Pajero and Montero.
