“Due to sharp increase in the input costs, Maruti Suzuki India has decided to pass on part of this cost impact to customers,” the automaker said in a statement.
Indian market prices have risen by INR2,000 to INR7,500 (US$43-$151).
Maruti hiked prices last April, citing input cost rises and more stringent emissions rules.
