Auto India reports that Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) will be launching a campaign to re-launch its Suzuki-designed WagonR mini-minivan model as a value-for-money car.

The rising sales of WagonR in recent months have prompted MUL’s new marketing initiative and MUL plans to cash in on growing customer interest in the WagonR with a re-launch campaign that will highlight its strengths.

WagonR sales in the Jan-Oct 2002 period were 25,240 units, a 30% increase over the 19,404 units sold during Jan-Oct 2001, the report said.
