Workers at Maruti Suzuki’s plant in the northern Indian state of Haryana halted work for a few hours on Thursday in protest over disciplinary procedures.

The company moved quickly to resolve the issue which followed a 13-day strike last month which led to more than US$90m in lost production. Workers had demanded recognition of a new union specific to the plant.
