Maruti Suzuki says production is running normally at its Manesar plant despite what it refers to as “agitation” occurring outside the Indian site.

“It is to do with the quality problem,” that is the current problem,” a Maruti Suzuki spokesman told just-auto from India. “There were incidents of sabotage in quality. The company asked the workers to sign a good conduct bond – [some] have signed and others have refused.

The spokesman added production of the Swift was running at around 700 units per day.
