The vehicles will be built by a joint venture or alliance with USF-HICOM (Malaysia), which already distributes the Mahindra Scorpio.


It was also reported that Mahindra is seeking to acquire to component suppliers in Europe and one in India.


Reuters said that local media have speculated that Mahindra may be in a race to acquire the forging units of ThyssenKrupp.


Indian components company Bharat Forge on Monday denied it was close to acquiring the ThyssenKrupp units.
