Mahindra & Mahindra is reportedly interested in buying PSA Peugeot Citroen’s two-wheeler scooter business.

A Bloomberg report, citing anonymous sources, said that discussions are at an advanced stage with an announcement expected soon.

The report added that the acquisition of Peugeot Motocycles would give Mahindra, also a scooter manufacturer, access to more advanced technologies.

The report also suggested that the sale of the loss-making scooter division would also be part of PSA CEO Carlos Tavares’ efforts to turn the business around.
