Germany’s Ernst Reinhardt, a producer of heat treatment, coating, and slush moulding systems is, in association with Indian partner Reinhardt Roto Machines, to establish coating and slush moulding lines at a new plant in Vadodara Gujarat.
“We are setting up the new unit adjoining our existing unit at Vadodara,” said Dhanu Patell of Reinhardt Roto Machines. The plant should be operational in the middle of 2012 and will supply the global market.
Slush moulding is used to maker precision sintered skins for vehicle interior parts like instrument panels, glove box covers and door panels, averaging 16kg a car.
Ernst Reinhardt and Reinhardt Roto Machines signed an agreement to further their cooperation last week in Bangalore.
Reinhardt Roto Machines customers are mainly automotive OEM suppliers.
Ernst Reinhardt has only two production facilities in the world – in India and Germany. The advantages of having a factory in India are the lower production costs, access to eastern markets and Australia, China, the Middle East and Africa.
